We need your help.
Thank you for considering the volunteer opportunities at Camp Piankatank. We truly appreciate the support from both individuals and groups willing to lend a hand.
We usually supply all necessary tools and materials for our projects. We primarily seek skilled laborers to assist with the tasks at hand.
If you’re interested in getting involved, please reach out to Niki at niki.gourley@camppiankatank.org. Niki will help coordinate the timing and supplies for your project. We also take great care of our volunteers by offering a meal and, if needed, lodging for large projects.
Screen Repair
All of our lodges and cabins have lovely screened porches. However, the screens need some repair. There are approximately 6 buildings that need minor-major help in this area.
Gaga Ball
Gaga Ball is a camp craze! The kids play this game for hours. Often 50+ kids will crowd in the game. We have one Gaga Ball court and need a second one. Building a second court will require carpentry skills and several people.
Landscaping and Gardening
Wow, is it hard to keep up with all the weeds and trimming! This is a low skill project, but BIG need. We can definitely keep a group working just a few hours, or all day, on the landscaping needs around here. Help us keep camp beautiful.
Painting
With 15 buildings on campus, that are usually occupied by kids, as you can imagine every surface needs a repaint every few years. We do want it to look nice, so painting experience is required.
Deck Repairs
Most of our buildings on campus have spacious decks to relax on. Minor deck repairs are a common need. Carpentry skills are needed for this project.
Roof
Cabin Portugal needs a new roof!
This is a big job, for a skilled group. The roof is not huge. For a skilled group of 2-5 people it should only take a day or two to complete this task.
