Bringing a Church Group to Camp Piankatank
An enriching experience that fosters community, faith, and fun! Your church will enjoy meaningful activities designed to strengthen bonds and inspire spiritual growth in a beautiful outdoor setting. Camp Piankatank is a smaller community than many other camps, up to 100 campers per session. This fosters our mission of growing in faith through relationships and adventures. With sessions for ages 8-17, children or youth groups can join camp together. Or join youth week, which is specialized for teens.
Faith
Faith is the heart of Camp Piankatank. Camp is a perfect opportunity to nurture and grow your faith in a supportive community. Through engaging activities, meaningful discussions, and moments of reflection, campers can deepen their connection to God. We want campers to know that God loves them, and through Christ, He has a plan for their life.
A weekly camp pastor walks the campers through daily Biblical messages about our summer theme. Our worship band leads engaging, popular songs.
Children are encouraged, but never forced, to make a decision to follow Christ. Daily devotionals help campers become familiar with the Bible on a personal level.
Camp Piankatank espouses traditional protestant doctrine and beliefs in our lessons. We are owned by a Baptist organization.

Community and
Partnership
Camp Piankatank integrates all of our campers- from a church group or an individual attendee. Everyone comes together to make new friends and become one camp community. Campers can pick one cabin buddy that is within 1 year of their age, aside from this cabin groups are separated by age and gender.

Piankatank provides all staff and supervision of all campers. No chaperones are required. This is a big advantage for church groups that find it hard to recruit chaperones to take off of work. One pastor (two for larger groups) from the church may attend camp to provide support. Any pastors that stay are required to register (pay) and provide a background check. Having a pastor stay is optional, or some groups have just sent the pastor to check in mid-week.
