Steve has been Camp Director since 2006. Steve grew up attending Camp Piankatank. Steve has a Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science and enjoys working out at our local Crossfit Gym, where he also coaches occasionally. Steve is an ordained minister and holds a Master of Divinity from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Steve and Niki have a camp love story, they met while working here in 2003. Steve and Niki have four children, who all also love Camp Piankatank

Cal Hedeen serves as our Associate Director for Summer Camp and Programming. Cal has a degree from Toccoa Falls College in Outdoor Leadership and Education. He has worked at many Christian summer camps. He is passionate about sharing Christ through camp.  Cal and his family love camping, hiking, and biking together. One of Cal’s favorite scriptures is Psalm 77:10-14.

Cal joined the Piankatank team in 2024.

Niki is married to Steve, our Camp Director. Throughout their time at Camp Piankatank, she has held various roles. She currently oversees our camp rentals while also assisting with meal preparations year-round. In addition, Niki homeschools their four children.
