Great news for some of our community members who serve in the military. Camp Piankatank is now a participating provider with MCCYN (Military Child Care in Your Neighborhood). Service members in the Coast Guard, Navy, civilian DOD, and the US Secret Service could be eligible for fee assistance to attend camp. People interested should go to public.militarychildcare.csd.disa.mil/mcc-central/mcchome/mccyn for more information and to apply.

They’re home safe, so now we can tell you all about a very special opportunity. Steve and Cal were invited to visit our longtime partners in South Korea. We have for many years received summer missionaries to Camp Piankatank from the Baptist Student Ministries in Seoul, and for many years campers related to this friendship. Steve and Cal visited some of these friends and made some new friends at the Global Vision Christian School. This school has several campuses across South Korea and one campus in the U.S. We’re exploring the possibility of receiving some of their students as campers in the future. It was a great trip and we’re very thankful for the hospitality of our friends in South Korea.

Looking for some fun plans for the summer? Join a new kind of camp session this summer- Camp Together is our parent and child camp. Is your child not quite ready for overnight camp by themself yet? Come join camp with them! Two nights of camp and bonding time with your child. Two sessions are being offered in 2026, July 1-3 or July 29-31. Kids age 6+ with their parent or guardian.

Camp Piankatank is incredibly blessed every time we have a workday. Volunteers help us get the property ready for summer camp, and that is a huge help to our ministry! This year, we want to focus our efforts on repairs and improvements to our four older cabins. There will be project needs for all volunteer abilities.
