65th Anniversary Celebration
October 17-18, 2025

In October 1960 Virginia Baptists voted to purchase the property at Camp Piankatank to be the state RA camp. God has sustained and prospered this ministry for 65 years through many changes. This is something to celebrate and an opportunity to bring together all those who love this place to envision the next 65 years and beyond.

 

Join Piankatank-lovers of all ages for a weekend of fun or just come for the celebration dinner on October 17. 

Schedule of Events

October 17- Celebration Dinner

5:00pm                   Check-In Opens at Ukrop Dining Hall; those staying overnight can                                             settle into their lodging

6:00pm                   Welcome Message and Prayer from David Washburn, BGAV Treasurer

                                 Location: Ukrop Dining Hall

6:15pm                    Dinner Served- Beef Brisket, macaroni and cheese, veggies, salad, rolls

7:00pm                    Dessert Message by Steve Gourley, Camp Director "Piankatank                                                Ambassadors of the Past and the Future"

7:30pm                    Evening Entertainment

 

October 18- Day of Camp Fun

8:00am                   Breakfast at Ukrop Dining Hall

9:00am                   Tour of Camp w/ Gourley and Hedeen Family Kids (hear all the kids'                                         camp stories)

10:00am-2:00pm  Join our Fall Festival- Fall Festival is open to the community. Enjoy                                            hayrides, games, craft vendors, camp activities, and friends.
